Upgraded to Itunes 11, and now my 120 GB classic won't synch

I finally upgraded to Itunes 11 and my Ipod won't synch anymore. My wife thought my Ipod was broken and bought me a new one and that one won't synch either. Windows Vista has updated itself a few times recently but from what I can remember, I never had any issues with a windows upgrade. I immediately noticed this issue after updating Itunes though. Does anyone know of any fixes or workarounds?
