Is it true that an iPod touch 4th Generation after updating to iOS 6 (6.1.3 being the latest) would cause a laggy and poor experience overall?

Hi, i have an iPod touch 4th Generation 8Gb and it is currently in iOS 4.1

I am thinking to update it to iOS 6.1.3 to get the new features of the iOS. But as I surf the net i read several comments that updating it to iOS 6 would cause a laggy and poor experience overall. I think they also say that apps frequently crashing. Is these comments true?

Should I update or keep it on iOS 4.1?

Thanks!

iPod touch, iOS 4.1

- A lot of uses report some slowness with IOS 6. It can also cause apps to "crash". That can ususally be resolved b:

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

- Like 99% of uses report no problem.

- Many apps no require iOS 4.3 or high so if you do not update your app selection is limited. Note y can only go to 6.1.3 on the 4G.
