I am trying to connect the ipad camera connection kit to my Ipad 4. There is not a port on my ipad that this connection fits. What must I do?

The Camera Connection Kit is for the older iPads with the 30-pin dock connector. For a fourth-gen iPad with the Lightning connector, you need this:

Or, I believe, you can use the 30-pin to Lightning adapter with the kit you have, though I'm not certain. Perhaps someone else can confirm.
