Media selector creates video widget instead of photo

Media selector creates video widget instead of photo

Hello!

When I select and drag into my book a single photo from iPhoto in the Media Selector, Author creates a video widget instead.

When I drag two photos, Author creates a video widget and a photo.

I have searched this forum and did a Google search but did not find other people complaining about the same problem. What is wrong and how can I correct it?

I have the latest versions of Author and Mountain Lion installed on my iMac computer.

If you just want an image, drag it to the page. If you want to incorporate image_s into a Widget, use the Gallery or Interactive or Keynote (slideshow) widgets.

Otherwise, for a single image, I believe that is how the media widget works.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I do exactly as you say - I drag an image to the page. But Author turns my photo into a video, as explained in my initial post! In the past this did not happen.

Does the same thing happen if you drag an image from a folder in Finder? I personally avoid using iPhoto as it's far too clunky and I don't like being locked into one way of doing anything.
