On my iPhone 3gs, my personal hotspot does not work (it tells me to contact my carrier to activate it) but when I insert a different sim card into the iPhone, personal hotspot works perfectly. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Personal Hotspot is carrier dependent.
Not all carriers support it.
Many require a tethering package added to the account.
Do as the message states, contact the carrier.
Both sim cards are with the same carrier, with the second sim card (the one that works) I didn't need to contact the carrier, it worked on its own. I'll just call my carrier. Thanks!
