imap.gmail.com is incorrect

My email was hacked into so I changed my password. I can get into my gmail account thru the web but I can not get into through the email app on my Iphone or IPad.

The error is

"The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com is incorrect"

I use the same name and password through the Internet and can het in. I have deleted the account from my phone and recreated it but still get the same error.

Please help!!
