Hi guys.
I've bought the iphone 5 a1429 model in US, from the apple store, and it wont work in Denmark on LTE.
The a1429 model can access the 1800mhz singnals my carrier provides for LTE.
What is happening, is there anything to do ?
I've been looking everywhere is there a chance somebody can help me ?

True, but it will only support LTE with the Verizon sim installed. No Verizon sim, no LTE. If your intent was to use this phone in Europe, without the Verizon sim installed, and get LTE, sorry, you wasted your money.

The sim slot is already unlocked, and the unlocked status has nothing to do with whether the phone supports LTE or not. Copied from my initial post:

If you wanted LTE, you should have purchased your phone in Europe, and no, there is no way to fix this.
hmmm.. this is weird, since i told the apple store what i was going to use it for, and they assured me that it would work ? i might have to call the us store.

Yep, it will work just fine, but again:
"With the Verizon sim installed."
Don't waste your time calling the store, they can't help you. You want LTE with this phone in Europe? Sign up for service with Verizon, in the US, then use it with the Verizon sim installed while roaming. Expensive, but you'll have LTE.

yes, i told them the whole story. i was there on vecation, i was going to bring it back home to europe, and that i neede LTE here. the funny thing is that the model i have is the same as they sell in the stores here, and can support the same mhz frequencies. but atm i only have 3G !

No, they are NOT the same models. You purchased a CDMA phone, the model sold in Europe is a GSM phone. They are NOT the same.
Have a look at " more like this " on top right of page
and the warranty is not international the iPhone will have to be returned to US
but the thing is that the CDMA model also serves as the GSM model according to apples webpage

Apple Denmark have their own webpage and there is no CDMA in Europe

For the last time:
For your phone to support LTE in Europe, you need to sign up for service with Verizon, use the Verizon sim, & use the phone while roaming.
There is no way to fix or change this.
