04/03/2013 - Apple TV had two updates scheduled this morning. The first one took over two hours to complete. The first one completed and I kicked off the second one. That one is 80% done - after nearly 3 hours. I'm not even sure that "second" one is for real. Perhaps the first one never reset the necessary "complete" flag
Note to programmer: it would really be helpful to the end user to have the Apple Box output some visual indication as to the update progress (other than just the status bar). Show files written, byte count...anything that will give the end user some feeling that the software is actually still working.
As it is now, with no reliable indication as to the health of this upgrade, I have no choice but to pull the plug and hope the box survives!
BTW, I am using a 10 meg hard wired Internet connection.
