need help

Anyone out there know how to pair an iphone 4 to the bluetooth in my car. I have followed manufactures directions and it won't work.Apple won't help me out unless I pay them money!

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

Since we have no idea what kind of bluetooth system you have in your car, or, if it's a factory system, what kind of car you have, then all we can do is make vague generalizations...


Put the audio system into pairing (discoverable) mode. Go to Settings>Bluetooth on the phone. Select the system you want to pair with. Enter the passcode supplied by the in-car system when prompted on the phone.

When bluetooth is on on the phone, it will always display the spinning wheel. Try this support document regarding pairing http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1664 or this one about troubleshooting car connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581. You can also check the manual for further information about bluetooth, that section begins on page 32. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
