I phone 4S speakers not working

Today I noticed that my iPhone speakers are not working, neither when it's on vibration or not. Can't hear anything if I'm talking to somebody and there's no ringtone. No sound whatsoever. It seems as though the phone "thinks" that my earphones are plugged in, and therefore there's no sound coming out of the speakers. When I plug in my earphones there's sound.

I've tried turning it on and off, and I've tried turning it off and leaving it off for a while before turning it on, but still, nothing.

Has anybody experienced this? Does anybody have a solution?
