overlapping files

Hi all,
My G5 PM crashed last night. I turned it off overnight and tried to restart this morning, no luck. I restarted from install disk had a problem repairing. Tried Diskwarrior. It located 26 overlapping files. It tried to repair them but I'm getting an error 2175. I've tried to repair 3 times no luck. has anybody encountered this before and if so is there a fix.
Thank you for your time.
John

My first shot would be to use fsck and Applejack from single user mode on startup (command S). More current version than Disk Utility on Install DVD.

Depends in part as to why it crashed. Power outage? get a UPS to be safe. Something else?

Start backing up and removing files. Because generally cache files are a likely culprit, deleting those can help. Same with temp files and files you don't need or that are backed up.

The best fix is to always have an emergency backup drive, and a couple backup sets.
