Help me hide the notes app whenever I close it...

I have noticed that there is a significant lag bewteen the time u open the notes app and the time it syncs with icloud. in the mainwhile if u add a note, it will dissappear. this doesn't happen on iOS devices, just on the mac.

So, I would like that Notes always runs in the background for me. I have added it to my log in items, i just wanted to configure the close button on the window of the notes app to actually hide the app in background rather than 'quit'ing it. I know one can hide using the window menu but when i'm in a flow of doing things i dont remember this and i end up closing notes.

so simple and sweet, how do i hide the notes app upong clicking the close window button?
