Calendar sharing problems

When I share my iCloud calendar with someone and try to give them only the ability to view the calendar, every time I leave the option menu the setting resets.

They are then allowed to edit the calendar again. I have tried removing and re-adding them to the calendar but this has not worked. How do I make my calendar only viewable and not editable?
