i have cellular capability on my iPad but i want to use wifi when available do i have to turn off cellular to do this or will the iPad do it automatically

Don't want use the cellular capability on my ipad if wifi is available. Will the ipad automatically select wifi or do i need turn off cellular.

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

The iPad is designed to use wifi first, if available. If not available, it will switch to cellular, if cellular is On. Some users report using some of their cellular budget when they thought the were using wifi (must have been dropping wifi connection).


So, if you are in a location where you have a good wifi connection, it's best to turn cellular Off.
