I couldn't turn off the directors commentary no matter what I did?

I reinserted disks, went back into special features and nothing worked. I recall having this problem before.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

I had the same problem. I fixed it by clicking on the little speech bubble on the bar with the 'play' button. A list of options for captions and audio streams will come up. In the commentary section, 'English 4 (Director's Comments)' will be checked. Choose the top commentary option, 'English 1' instead and the film should play normally.

Hope this helps!

I know, it's just hiding from me. I'm just going to have to keep hunting. It's got to be right in front of my face. Ill go off to listen to Leonard Nimoy talking about the movie and then I can't turn him off. I think I've tried everything but this cannot be true. I will just have to watch the movie FIRST and then tinker. BTW, if I reinsert the DVD, the computer already has decided I'm wanting to listen to the directors commentary, it's set up this way regardless. In a regular DVD player this would not be true. I'm new to apple altogether, it seems to always be some very tiny and obvious detail. I'll let you know how it goes maybe. It's probably as simple as knowing when to tap on return.
