HP Scanner Issue

Hello, I am able to print off my MacbookPro Retina Display to my HP Laserjet M1522nf, but not scan. I get an error message that the scanner cannot be found.


Anybody know why I cannot scan?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
