Q: How to I find TextEdit if it is disabled or lost?

Please help me find TextEdit if it is disabled or lost because i cannot find it. Thank you!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    The original icon should be inside your Applications folder and the icon should be on your Dock.  Use Spotlight and manually search your hard drive.

     

    You can custom install the application directly from the disc that came with your computer.

    Hold command and spacebar and use Spotlight to search for TextEdit

    Press Return to launch it and when the app shows in the Dock, right click on it's icon there and "Keep in Dock"

     

     

    If Spolight doesn't find it, it can be reinstalled with a #8 Reinstall Just OS X + Software Update method and/or by running the bundled application installer on your 10.6 disks that came with the machine.
