Hi all, I am trying to update my card details as need to update my apps and have an outstanding invoice to pay, when I update my details it tells me 'Payment processing is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.' Then when I go to the App Store online it says 'we're currently updating our store' could this be part of the same problem? I need to download my updates and can't and its very frustrating.


Also if it is the above then does anyone know when it will be available?

I also had the issue of not being able to process songs or apps purchased. It would say I needed to update billing information. I did that and nothing changed. My solution... I THINK it was with the Apple Pay card I had on file. It had expired and changing the billing on ITUNES didn't matter. I had to delete the card from Apple Pay and then ADD it again with the correct expiration date. I did turn off "sharing" my purchases first, but that didn't seem to matter either. I am not sure if this will work for everyone, but it did for me. I got an email that said I had successfully updated my information, but before that while trying to just edit my information... I didn't receive any emails.and continued to get the message to "update billing" when I tried to purchase anything. I hope this helps.

I think this happens because Apple customers credit cards get hacked. During the investigation, accounts that were hacked are temporarily suspended. This seams to be the most logical explanation, considering that Apple doesn't offer one for itself.


This wouldn't be such a big deal, except people that have to update their payment information are unable to access a large amount of media previously purchased like movies, music, tv episodes...


So Apple, what is the best way to access products that have already been purchased when we cannot update payment information?

I am not able to download any apps, log into my account, or update my account. I have tried this on my IPhone, IPad, and mac. When trying to download an app on my IPad I get error, “The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time”. I also get this error when I logged out of my iTunes, and tried to log in. When I went to my account in the cloud, and try to manage my ID there is an error next to my payment info “Your payment information is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

I have no ability to update my payment info however.

The kicker is, the card I have on file has plenty of cash to support any purchases.
