I can receive email, but not send email. Although I can send emails to myself.

I didn't change any settings today. It just started to happen.

I get this Error Message: Cannot send message using the server.... Send the message content to the server failed.

I can send emails to myself. Is this a clue to anyone?!

I called my ISP and troubleshooted. No luck.

With Connection Doctor, I'm able to connect to the server.

I upgraded from 10.6.2 to 10.6.8 and no luck.

I deleted thousands of emails in the SENT and JUNK mailboxes and no luck.

Mac Mail-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hello Elaine,

Who is your eMail provider, the part after the @ sign?

If your using or switching to Google or Yahoo email, the first few days in April there is switchover to the new Email system. Within a few hours it should be up and running.
