I use migration assistant to transfer files from a Mac book to my new iMac but after about a 1/4 of files was done the new iMac looked like hanged there stopped. Should I close the app in the source and re-do it. There is nothing I can do on the new iMa.

My source is Mac book with Mac OS X 10 .6. Is this intel-base ?
