Time Machine error
I keep getting the error "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to "***" The backup image "****" could not be created (error 17). What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Yes, I have an external hard drive attached to a mac-mini and am accessing that wirelessly from my macbook pro that I am trying to backup.
Try turning off TM on the Mini for a test, also use Disk Utility to Verify that drive.
