My phone only charges when plugged into the computer
iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3
Is your wall/car charger from Apple? It needs to put out a cetain amerage in order to charge. IIRC, its around 2A.
Are you using the same cable for each charging method?
Yes same chord for both charge options
I believe this started after the kids attempted to plug in MP3 player cord into it
When plugged into the wall car or a dock station The battery icon does not appear on the lock screen And it charges very very slow
The wall/car charger (not the cord) is not putting out enough amps to charge it.
All chargers and cords work fine on my other iPhone

You don't understand it's not the Chargers
The phone was plugged into the wrong type of charger IE a charger for an MP3 player.
Now it will only charge when it's hooked to the computer. Does it use different circuits between computer charging and wall charging?
Sounds like your connector actually on the phone has been damaged. Take it to an Apple store and get them to check it.

No it doesn't. A usb cord uses the same wires for power whether it is plugged into your computer or the wall outlet. Did you try an Apple charger?
