Im running Lion, and I had installed Xcode (a while ago). I noticed the version I have on my Mac is 3.2.6 (newer Powerbook), when I look on the app store its version 4.6.1. The app store see it as installed, so I cant download it, and there is no update in the updates window.
How can I get the new version?
The newest version requires OS X Lion 10.7.4 or later. There is a version of Xcode 4 for Snow Leopard, but it requires a paid developer account.
Look in the /Applications folder for anything with Xcode in the name, anything?
I running Lion. Is the 4 version only for paid developers?

What's in your Apps folder?
If you have an Xcode.app in the Apps folder that is why the MAS store won't download it because it is there.
Message was edited by: Frank Caggiano - Xcode 4 has changed where it is installed. It's in the Applications folder now as an application. The old /Developer folder is not used anymore.
