ipad turns on fine but if you touch settings, fb, or outlook turns off to main screen

try reseting the ipad, hold down the power and home button for 15 seconds.

Your iPad is crashing when you use those apps. Try rebooting your iPad.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons
