Q: I have just bought the camera connection kit for my ipad 2. I want to view videos I have taken with my Panasonic digital camcorder, but it doesnt recognise them. I have taken still photos with the camcorder, the ipad imports them with no problem.

I have just bought the camera connection kit for my ipad 2. I want to view videos I have taken with my Panasonic digital camcorder, but it doesnt recognise them. I have taken still photos with the camcorder, the ipad imports them with no problem. I am using an sdhc card in the camcorder, which I then put in the connection kit. I have tried importing photos and videos from my Samsung digital camera and with no problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks

What video format does the Panasonic camcorder use?  Its entirely possible its not something the iPad can play.

The specs for the CCK state:

iPad and the Camera Connection Kit support standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

There is a free app called VLC that can play more movie formats. Install it.

If possible download the movie files via the VLC in iTunes (On the bottom of the Apps page).

Hi, I think it is (.MOD)? Does this mean anything to you? Does this mean there is not a way of downloading them onto my iPad?

    Thanks
