New IPOD classic will not sync CD music

My old IPOD died. My Itunes music on the old dead IPOD was primarily CD music with a small number of purchased songs. I recently purchased a new IPOD classic which only syncs the purchased songs. I purchased a year subscription to Itunes in the Cloud hoping I could save all the CD songs in "the cloud" and then sync them into my new IPOD. All of the CD songs show on Itunes on my computer and can be played through the computer but are not recognized to be synced. I checked my Itunes account information and both Apple ID Summary and the Itunes in the Clouds state "authoirzation for purchased" songs.

Is there a way to sync my CD music into my new IPOD classic?
