Constant Kernel Panics Black Macbook

Question

Hi I recently acquired a black 2007-2008~ black macbook and I&#x27;m having issues figuring out what the issues are with this machine.  Without fail, this macbook will popup the "You need to restart your computer" message at random points, though typically I&#x27;m unable to even get it to boot to the login screen before it tells me it&#x27;s hit a kernel panic.That being said, I did manage to get it to stay working long enough to email myself the crash log from one of the most recent crashes.I consider myself pretty computer literate, but I can&#x27;t find anything to get this to work.  Also, I&#x27;ve attempted runing the AHT (Holding &#x27;D&#x27; key on startup), but I haven&#x27;t been able to get it to run. First, are you REALLY running 10.7.5 on 2gb of ram? Do you have a wired keyboard and mouse, or even a usb keyboard and mouse? You might have a corrupt bluetooth driver. I&#x27;d like to see what happens if you turn off bluetooth and try using a different interface for kb and mouse.

Regarding the AHT, what does this mean   I&#x27;ve tried pulling the disc, wiping it, installing all the necessary programs on a nearly identical macbook, but nothing has seemed to work.AHT is on, I believe disc 2 of the original install set that shipped with the mac. If you&#x27;re using discs from a nearly identical macbook they won&#x27;t work.

Disreagrd the keyboard and mouse idea, for some reason I&#x27;m thinking imac instaed of macbook. That said, I stil think you may have a corrupt bluetooth driver. You might first try a safe boot to see if that clears out the problem, if that doesn&#x27;t help I would try reinstalling OS X. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564
