I have searched ans searched for answers! I have tried everything but nothing is still working, I have an IPhone 4, it has been updated to the most recent version and cellular data,MMS messaging etc is turned on. Please Help! Thank You.

    SMS and MMS are carrier functions. If you are having trouble with that and have done the user troubleshooting, then contact your carrier and have them make sure your account is provisioned for SMS/MMS.

    What's user troubleshooting and where can I find that?

    You can look at this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802, but user troubleshooting is power off/on, a reset holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. This will not affect data at all. If needed, the next step is restore from a backup. With the phone connected to the computer and iTunes, click the Restore button, and when prompted, restore from your backup. Just make sure before you start the restore that you backup the device. The Backup button is right in front of you.

     

    Before trying to restore as a new device, the next step, I would do as I suggested in checking with the carrier. A restore as a new device deletes all data from the phone.
