I have a brand new macbook pro and an apple tv 3. When I use airplay mirroring it works for about 15 minutes and then it switches off. This is very frustrating. I can't seem to find a solution. I've tried hooking up my Apple TV via ethernet, but that doesn't work. Nothing does. Anyone having this problem?

Exactly the same situation here, with the same spec and setup. Works perfectly with no stuttering for around 15 minutes, then just drops out. Always roughly the same time.
I've looked and a lot of people have issues with Airplay Mirroring, but I haven't found a solution. Crazy.
Airplay works using broadcasts on Bonjour ports for network discovery. This works great with an Apple router, but other routers don't always work. You can try opening the TCP and UDP ports used by the service:
