What is the Search Field used for in the Photos page of iTunes?

The Photos page in iTunes when an iPad/iPhone/iPod is attached and available for syncing contains a search field (with small magnifying glass).

How is this search field used? What does it search? Can you show me with screenshots before and after a search? Thanks very much.

The search field searches your computer's iTunes library i.e. your music, films, tv shows, apps etc - it doesn't search your device nor the photos tab, it only looks at your computer's iTunes library. So if you type something in then it should show any matches from your library
