bonjour continually deactivates on windows 8

hi all -
i recently did a hard drive update to my windows 8 (64bit) laptop and restored via an image

since then - lots of things not working correctly.

one of which is Itunes Bonjour service -
it continually shows as deactivated in itunes.

it is active in services and no antivirus etc running at all.

any thoughts on resolutions ??
