Sustain pedal on MIDI Piano wont work

I've got a Roland Fantom X8 electric piano/synthesiser that I'd like to use through MIDI on Logic.

The sustain pedal works fine when I am using it through headphones, or recording it via audio, but it doesn't work when I use it through MIDI on Logic, It's like it doesn't recognise that it is there.

I've read threads about this problem, used Logic's 'Clicks & Ports' section to set up a transformer as a result of a thread I found, but still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
