I used to be able to do it, but when I go to the App Store or iTunes, and press view my account (which is what I used to do), nothing about an amount shows up. Does anyone know? Thank you

are you telling me that if you open the app store or itunes on your phone, tap music on itunes or featured on the app store, then scroll all the way down you don't see your apple id and how much credit you have? i just did it on my phone and i'm staring right at it.
Make sure you're signed into your iTunes Account via Settings > iTunes and App Stores.

I think it's my phone (and my computer apparently). I just tried it on my dad's phone (which is also on the same account, and it worked).
Sign out on your device, then sign back in. See if that helps.
I had this same question until I figured a way to do it on my iphone 5.
First: Go to settings then-> iTunes & App Stores-> tap the "Apple ID" rectangle then "View Apple ID"
(it may prompt you to enter the password) but you should see the "Apple ID Balance" at the top! 😉
Tried this even updated credit card info.
My balance may be zero. But I should see plainly $0 is my balance.

I suggest reading the messages above yours in the message thread. Various solutions are mentioned.
I understand your confusion and you frustration for not being able to see your balance. The reason you are not able to see your balance is because your balance is 0, by default if you do not have any store credit it will not show anything at all. Only if you have at least 1 penny store credit will it show. When you use iTune cards to add credit to your account you will easily be able to see your exact balance by clicking iTunes > Music tab > and scroll to the bottom it will be near your name. I'm trying to see what my balance is as in what I owe to iTunes it it won't effn let me. My computer doesn't work and I've tried one iPhone 5s and iPad 3! Nothing. It ****** me off I just want to know what I owe have tried the suggestions on here and morning works! Please somebody help!!
