Cannot connect to WIFI

All of a sudden my wifi is not working. It is saying there is a self assigned IP address. What does this mean?

It also seems there is a unknown device named "Portthru" under the Wifi networking device list from the pull down menu.

has someone gotten on my computer? I cannot seem to find a place to remove this device? Maybe this isn't the problem but?!? diagnostics hasn't worked.
