Q: How do you transfer music from your ipod to itunes match?

How do you transfer music from your ipod to itunes match? I recently bought itunes match and it wont allow me to add songs from my ipod to the music library and match. Before I bought it, it would not allow me to transfer it either. After my purchase, I thought it would solve the problem but it did not. Any solutions?
