Enabling SSD Self encrypting drive USB

So I just got a Samsung SSD 840 which is ridiculously fast! does near 400 megaBYTES a second write, and 550 megaBYTES read! Faster than many RAID0 arrays I've played with. Ridiculously fast and that's over USB3 on a MBP Retina!

I'm putting it in a USB3 enclosure and want to encrypt it. I'd rather use hardware encryption rather than software encryption. (technically, the disk is always encrypting, it's just setting the master key that needs to be done. Running software encryption would actually double encrypt the data! such a waste!) Anybody know of a tool/kernel extension/way in 10.8 to manage the hardware encrption instead of the 10.8 built in software encryption? Such a waste to not use the AES-256 hardware encryption.
