There are No Viruses for iOS Devices... Unless you have jailbroken your Device... Then you are on your own.

PC virus do not run on iPad.

Try this:

Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.

"Malware" does not equal "virus".

Malware is not a virus and can be easily removed. There are no viruses for Mac.

Additionally, the link you provided refers to malware on a Mac. The OP was asking about viruses on an iPad, which uses a different operating system than a Mac. Apples and oranges, so to speak.
