template disappearing in second page

hi,

I met a problem. I need to give line numbers to my document. thus I saved a new template and stored it to "my templates". however, when I open a new file with this template, I found that the line number only occured in the first page. It is still blank in the following pages.

How to deal with it, I need help,

thanks!

follow this,

  1. Click outside the main body of your document so that the insertion point is not visible.
  2. Create a new floating text object.
  3. Click outside the main body of your document again so that the insertion point is not visible.
  4. Drag the text box to the side of the main body.
  5. Reshape the text box to make it tall and thin.
  6. Type the numbers you want to use in the text box.
  7. Select the text box.
  8. From the Format menu, choose Advanced, then Move Object to Section Master.

The line numbers you created will now appear on every page (but they won't cross sections).

Tip: If you plan to reuse this format, save your document as a template.

OK continue with the following:

1. Click once in the text layer to get the blinking cursor

2. Format > Advanced > Capture Pages

3. Give it a name i.e. Line numbers and OK

4. Format > Advanced > Manages Pages > select the new page and with the up arrow move the page to the top of the list. This will make this the page used when you get new pages in the document.
