Test after each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.

Step 1

If you're trying to install more than one update at the same time, do the installations one at a time.

Step 2

Triple-click the line below to select it:

/Library/Updates

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select

Services Open

from the contextual menu. A folder should open. Move the contents to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.

Linc

For step one

I made one download at a time , not two at the same time.

For the second step.

I went to /Library/Updates delete the content of the folder (with administrator password) and empty trash.

Tried to do the update from apple store and got error 103

I post log from apple store and from install.log.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.

Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:

  • Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
  • When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
  • If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.

Test while in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

This looks like a server or network problem, not a problem with your computer. But try this:

From the menu bar, select

System Preferences Network

If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server, so be prepared to restore the previous settings if that happens.

I also tried your suggestions Linc (delete /Library/Updates content, reboot in safe mode, etc.) It still does the same behavior when I update theirs on the App Store. I press the "Update" button and then I see it load a status bar; then all of a sudden spitts out an alert-box (error 102).

It's weird as I've installed previous purchases from the same App Store account beforehand as well.

Please advise at your earliest convenience. I've been working on this problem for a week now. TIA
