Aug 5, 2013 1:55 PM in response to kdurham444by shan17817,I have the same problem! I chose to download the digital copy of Pitch Perfect to itunes because I wanted to put it on my ipod but for some reason it will not download it onto my ipod?? Why? I even updated my ipod and had to reload the whole thing! I guess I should have downloaded it to Amazon and put it on my kindle! I won't make that mistake again.

Aug 5, 2013 2:12 PM in response to turingtest2by shan17817,The message just said: "Pitch Perfect was not copied to the ipod because it cannot be played on this ipod"
I don't remember what generation ipod touch I have, but it was right before the camera came out. I even updated it. :-(

Aug 5, 2013 5:32 PM in response to shan17817by turingtest2,But does it show up in iTunes Store > Purchased > Movies? If so it means you are able to download it again, with luck at a bit rate that the iPod can play... Offhand I can't recall the hoops you need to go through, but no point looking them up if that trick won't work.
Actually, an easier way would be on the device, iTunes App > More > Purchased > Films > Not on this iPod. If it is available it will download in a compatible format. No use for our original classic owner, but it would do for you.

Sep 10, 2013 10:35 PM in response to kdurham444by Neil Barembaum,I'm having the same problem. When you download your digital copy, you download HD. The iPod classic can only play SD movies. If you buy HD from iTunes, you get SD free. Not so for digital copy. Not sure how to get around this one.

Sep 11, 2013 9:14 PM in response to turingtest2by Neil Barembaum,OK. So I checked. Here are the hoops. When you check iTunes Store > Purchased > Movies, it shows only the HD versions. There is a check at the bottom which says, "Download HD when available." You remove the check mark and the SD versions are shown. You are then able to download the SD version of the HD movies that you bought. I haven't downloaded them onto my iPod Classic, but this is what I needed to do.
