Authorized "Loaner" Netbook - trouble importing & transfering songs from CD to playlist on iphone & ipod

My netbook is being repaired; in the meantime I've authorized the provided "loaner" netbook, yet itunes won't allow me to import songs from CD, create/edit playlists, & transfer to my iphone & ipod on this computer... how can I make that work?

iPod classic 160GB (Late 2009), Windows 8
