All homeshare is on, airplay on the tv is on, all logged in to wi-fi properly. When I double click the home button on the phone and scroll to the left all I get it the volume control, no devices or air play icon. It did work once....can't get it on again. Have done all the resets on both phone and tv. When I go to computer on the tv it show home share is on and says to log other devices on.

make sure the iphone is connected with wifi and not 3g

- try an app that is supposed to use airplay.
This happens from time to time. I'd like apple to include some kind of 'find apple TV' button. Not likely!
I use the you tube app. It is excellent at finding Apple TV.
Be sure all connections / resets are right and play a you tube video from the app. The AirPlay icon poppa up more reliably than in apple native apps ie music or photo.
