When on holiday in Australia I downloaded my photos each day and each day could see what I had previously downloaded - now back in the uk they don't seem to be on the iPad - any ideas where they might be ?

If the were downloaded from an iOS device to a computer, they are where you put them.
If they were synced from a computer to an iOS device they are still on the computer and should be on the device as long as sync photos is still selected.

Downloaded from the camera SD card to my iPad - they ewere there before I left - but now are not..I did back my iPad up to the cloud - but don't kjnow how to lookfor them there.
I did delete them from eth SD card - is there a way of maybe undeleting those?
If they were synced to the iPad, then they must be on the computer, unless you used the iPad Camera connection kit to put them directly on the iPad. If that is the case and they are no longer on the SD card or the iPad, then they are gone.
