iPod Touch 5G not Charging

Checked the cables, used two different cables to charge but it refuses to charge. Called up the local service center and they do not repair iPod touch devices. Ipod still under warranty.

Left it overnight to charge, still no charge. The display shows a battery low status on the iPod. This is a four month old iPod Touch.

Any ideas?

Nope, won't help. Tried it when I first encountered the problem. Now I am going to try leaving on the computer with the USB cable attached to see if I wake it from this sudden coma. Leaving it overnight to see if this works.

I suspect it is a battery problem, maybe the battery thermostant as it was running hot when it died on me. Since it is under warranty, I will be sending it back if it doesn't work. Am hoping to find out if there is any other users who experience the same thing.

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.
