screen saver problems server not available

I have an issue runnnig Screen Saven on Mountain Lion 10.8.3

Either trying to access an album of photographs through iPhoto, or through and exported directory of photgraphs on my hard drive. System just produces the screen shot below... the server in question no longer exists, and I can't find any reference to it on my computer using spotlight... Don' understadn why this wiuld cause a problem when I am pointing towards a specific directory on my local hard drive!

Hi Linc,

The screen saver window hangs whilst 'loading photo's'

The photo folder is on my hard drive, ie not even in iPhoto library, or on a different network drive.

The error message reads

'The was a problem connecting to the server Tony Thompson MacBook (this is an old laptop that I no longer use and has not connected to my network for 3 years)

The server may not exisit or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name, or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again'

I also get this message when I run iWeb and it tries to connect to my photo media

Thanks for your help

Boot in safe mode as directed here:

Starting up in Safe Mode

Log in and see whether you still have the problem. If you don't, it's caused by one of your login items or a system modification that loads at startup or login.

If the problem isn't resolved that way, other possible causes are references in the iPhoto, iTunes, or iMovie library pointing to the server, and bookmarks in the Preview application

See iMovie Troubleshooting: Connection Failed, Server Does Not Exist.
