i have old xServe 2006 Late and i want to use the SSD OCZ Vertex 4 128Gb as boot disk and for databases.

its possible?

i need to upgrade some firmware in server? or something else?

SSD must be formated to mac-fs (before loading from bootable-dvd for install macosx to ssd) or SSD can be unformatted?
