Wifi Connection Switching Channels, What are the Reason Codes?

I am getting 30 or so messages like:

4/8/13 10:06:17.000 AM kernel[0]: wl0: Roamed or switched channel, reason #1, bssid a0:cf:5b:0e:90:32

every day. I see reason codes #1, #4, #8 intermmitantly. I have looked everywhere, scanned BSD source, linux source, OSX open source code, and google, but have been unable to find an explaination of the reason codes used in this error.

Does anyone know where to find a reference for what the reason numbers mean?

Wow, I've had this same question for the longest time, and I think I just found the answer.

Check out this doc.

And scroll down to Deauth Reason codes.

1 == Unspecified (gee thanks)

4 == Disassociated due to inactivity

8 == Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left) BSS

It hasn't stopped it from happening, but I feel a little more informed.. 🙂
