My calendars won't sync between iPhone and iPad

My iPhone and iPad calendars will not sync anymore. I'm running the latest version of software which at this time is iOS 6.1.3 on both devices. The calendars just stopped syncing for no reason really I don't know if I hit a setting by accident or anything I've looked and can't find anything. Please help if you know answer.

What back end mail provider are you using? Exchange? GMAIL? or ??

I have multiple emails… one is a gmail account the others are msn and the icloud one you are given.

same thing happened to me. multiple accounts, not syncing calendars. everything worked until this morning. noticed sync icon rotating last night and iphone is not set up to wi-fi sync, nor do I have an outlook account at all.
