How do I weld an articulating lamp arm to my 27” iMac?

You can always use one of the other hundreds apps that do the same thing that iCal does, one that has bigger fonts.

Unless you are an expert at Aluminum welding techniques and have the correct facilities and equiment, don't.

I don't see how this would even be possible, considering the weight of an iMac 27. Why not just use the magnifier and move it into place as needed? Or get one of these. 😉

At the risk of asking the "obvious", tried a few presses of the ⌘+ chord in iCal?

If so (and I suspect you probably have tried that), consider logging an enhancement request with Apple.

There is an option built in to the OS.

System Preferences / Universal Access / Seeing.

Once activated, the zoom feature can be controlled from the keyboard.
