ready to change up to Airport Extreme 802.11n

Hello,

I have been using an AE base station ( the one that looks like a flying saucer! ) and it still is functional. BUT it just does not give off a strong enough signal for me to use my iPad in many areas of the house. Thus, I have now opened up the box to a new AE 802.11n and want some advice about setting it up. I am unsure who set up the old one, but they never used a CD to set it up. They just plugged it in and it goes. NO password, NADA!

NOW for the new one, what is your recommendation? Must I insert this CD and go through it's set up procedure? Or will it work otherwise..... ADVISE please!

There is no CD required and the one you have will not work anyway.

AirPort Utility will guide you through setting it up. Just plug it in.
